Schwimmunterricht für Kinder ist heutzutage zu oft Ziel- und performanceorientiert. Das ist allerdings unproduktiv, denn es führt am kindlichen Lernverhalten vorbei. Das Ergebnis ist Frustration und manchmal sogar das Gefühl alles falsch zu machen. Dies führt dann zu Elternbeschwerden oder einfach einer stillen Aussteigerquote deren Gründe wir als Schwimmschulen nie explizit erfahren. Schwimmen kann für Kinder und ihre Eltern eine großartige Aktivität werden und erfüllt ein tiefes Bedürfnis in der modernen Welt – wenn wir es richtig anfangen. In Ihrem Vortrag wird Ulrika ihre Erfahrungen mit Euch teilen und anhand von Praxisbeispielen klar machen wie und warum kleine Kinder lernen. Ihr werdet mehr darüber erfahren wie Emotionen uns antreiben und wie Ihr diese Erkenntnisse in Eure Kurse tragen könnt. Swimming for children is far too often goal and performance oriented. This is counterproductive because it doesn’t work well with the young child’s way of learning. The result is frustration and sometimes even a feeling of failure which leads to lack of joy, complaints from parents or just silent drop-outs. Swimming for small children and their parents can become their best activity and it has the potential of fulfilling a great need in our modern world – if we facilitate it right. During this talk Ulrika will share experiences and engaging stories that makes it clearer how a young child learns and why. You will learn more on how emotions drive us and how you can facilitate that in your teaching and in your swim school. Because of this you will be able to make learning fun and enjoyable and therefor also easier and much more effective for both parents and children. As a result you will become more competent and stand out among thousands of other teachers and swim schools.
